What this covers
How Soft Edge would handle information for people who visit this shop and buy a set of ribbon samples. The shop is currently a demonstration: nothing is sold through it, and no orders, payments, or accounts are processed.
What we would collect
When the shop is live on Shopify, Shopify processes on our behalf the same categories any Shopify storefront does:
- Order and contact details you give at checkout: name, email, shipping address, billing address.
- Payment details, handled by the payment processor. We never receive or store full card numbers.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser, and pages viewed, used to run and protect the shop.
- Optional analytics cookies, set only if you accept them. Decline and the shop works exactly the same.
We do not collect anything about how you use the ribbon after it arrives. There is no app, no account required to buy, and no connected device.
Why we would hold it
To cut and post your order, answer questions about it, meet tax and accounting obligations, prevent fraud, and, with consent only, understand which parts of the shop are useful. We do not sell personal information.
If you join the list, we would use your address only to send occasional notes about what we are making. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and leaving removes your address.
How long we would keep it
Order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Mailing-list addresses until you unsubscribe. Analytics data for a defined window that must be set before launch.
Your choices
Depending on where you live you may have rights to see, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can decline optional cookies at any time from the cookie notice.
